A hotel designed around the cat, not human expectations.
Our main cat hotel is located in Jadi Village, Tabanan, Bali. If you're around Tabanan, Canggu, Pererenan, Seseh, Kedungu, or nearby areas, BCC may be a convenient place for your cat to stay while you're away.
But we don't really think of a cat hotel as a smaller version of a human hotel. Cats don't care about a nice lobby, fancy furniture, or room service. What matters to them is whether the place feels safe, manageable, and familiar enough to settle into.
That's why we design the experience around the cat.
At Bali Cat Center, human interaction is kept minimal and controlled. We don't believe every cat needs someone constantly talking to them, touching them, or taking them out of their room.
Sometimes, the best thing we can do for a cat is simply give them some space.
Two Places, Two Different Feline Needs
Not every cat is comfortable in exactly the same environment.
That's why BCC has two different places in Tabanan, each suited to a different kind of stay.
Jadi Village — Our Main Cat Hotel
Jadi Village is our main regular cat hotel.
This is where most cats stay, whether they're here for a few days, a few weeks, or a much longer stay.
It is designed for cats who are comfortable with a regular boarding environment and don't require a particularly individualised setup.
We keep things calm and predictable, while allowing each cat to respond to the environment in their own way.
If you're looking for cat boarding in Tabanan or Bali, this is generally where your cat would stay.
Kamasan — BCC At Home
Some cats need something a little different.
Our Kamasan location, BCC At Home, provides a quieter home environment with more individual attention.
It can be a better fit for cats who:
- need regular medication
- need additional individual attention
- are particularly attached to people
- are nervous or need a quieter environment
- simply do better with a more home-like setting
The important thing isn't choosing the “better” location.
It's choosing the environment that makes the most sense for your cat.
If you're not sure, just tell us a little about your cat and we'll help you figure it out.
We Observe First
One of the most important things we do at BCC isn't something you can put on a hotel brochure.
We observe.
Cats communicate a great deal through their everyday behaviour, even though they don't speak human language.
So during a stay, we pay attention to things such as:
- eating and drinking
- litter use
- movement and posture
- activity and curiosity
- resting and sleeping
- interaction
- comfort
- changes from the cat's usual behaviour
The goal isn't to make every cat behave the same way. It's to understand what is normal for this particular cat. Because when you know what normal looks like, a change becomes much easier to notice.
Why Baseline Matters
A cat that eats twice a day may be completely normal for one cat and unusual for another. One cat may spend most of the day sleeping. Another may spend it exploring. That's why we don't want to rely only on a list of warning signs.
We want to understand the cat first.
Knowing a cat's baseline gives us something to compare against.

Give Them Time to Settle
A new environment can be a big experience for a cat. Some cats arrive and immediately start exploring as though they own the place. Others look at us as if we have committed a serious personal offence. Both can be perfectly normal.
We use the 3-3-3 rule as a simple framework for thinking about adjustment:
The First 3 Days
The cat is getting used to the new environment, smells, sounds, people and routines.
The First 3 Weeks
A more predictable routine begins to develop as the cat becomes familiar with the environment.
The First 3 Months
For longer stays, deeper familiarity can develop as the cat becomes increasingly accustomed to the place and its routines.
These aren't deadlines.
Cats do not read calendars.
Some settle quickly. Others need considerably more time. The 3-3-3 rule simply reminds us that settling into a new environment is a process, not an event.
Does Every Cat Get Playtime Outside the Room?
Not necessarily. We don't have a fixed schedule where every cat must spend a certain number of hours outside their room. And that's intentional.
A curious, confident cat may enjoy exploring. Another cat may be perfectly happy staying in its own familiar space. A nervous cat may become more uncomfortable if we take it somewhere simply because the schedule says it is “playtime.”
So rather than asking:
“How many hours does every cat get outside?”
we ask:
“Would this be good for this cat right now?”
The answer can be different from one cat to another. And that's okay. At BCC, the cat's condition comes before the schedule.
A Stay Doesn't Have to Look the Same for Every Cat
Some cats stay with us for a short holiday. Some stay for several weeks. Some stay much longer. We've even had cats stay with us for years when circumstances made that the best option for them.
We've had cats whose parents moved overseas and needed a safe place for an extended period. We've had cats who became permanent residents because their family's circumstances changed. We've also cared for foster cats when their rescuers simply didn't have enough space at home.
And then there are cats who stay with us before travelling.
For some of these cats, the boarding stay becomes part of their preparation for a much bigger journey. They learn that their carrier or room can be a safe, familiar place rather than something that only appears when it's time to leave.
Every cat arrives with a different story.
So we don't expect every stay to look the same.
Is BCC Right for Your Cat?
BCC may be a good fit if you're looking for a cat hotel or cat boarding service in Tabanan, Bali, and you prefer an approach that gives your cat room to settle rather than expecting them to follow a fixed programme.
It may be especially suitable if:
- you're travelling and need somewhere for your cat to stay
- you need short-term or long-term boarding
- you're moving between homes
- you're relocating to or from Bali
- your cat needs additional individual attention
- you prefer a quieter, cat-focused environment
If you're around Canggu, Pererenan, Seseh, Kedungu, Tabanan, or nearby areas, you're welcome to contact us and tell us about your cat.
We'll start there. Because before deciding where a cat should stay, it's useful to know the cat.
