Things we use, keep, and recommend for cats. Living with cats teaches you that the things around them matter. Food, litter, bowls, carriers, cleaning products — none of them are simply objects. They become part of a cat's everyday environment.
At BCC, we encounter these things every day. Meowmart is where we share some of what we use and some of what we have learned.
It isn't a large pet shop, and it isn't a list of everything a cat could possibly need. Just a small BCC shelf.
What We Use at BCC
Some products are part of everyday life at the cat hotel. These are the products we currently keep and use for our cats and guests.
Food
Our current dry food includes Naturale Cat Food and Kitchen Flavour Adult. For wet food, we use Purina Felix pouch wet food. But the interesting part isn't really the brand. It's how we look at the food.
Tips : Look beyond the brand, when choosing cat food, take a look at the ingredient list.
1. As a simple starting point, ingredients are generally listed by weight, so the first ingredients can tell you a lot about what makes up the food. An international brand isn't automatically better than a local one.
2. And wet food isn't automatically better simply because it comes in a pouch.
3. A diet made entirely from wet-food pouches isn't necessarily the right choice for every cat either. What matters is the actual nutritional content, the type of food, and the cat eating it.
We prefer to look at what is actually in the food rather than choosing by reputation alone.
Litter Is More Than a Toilet
A litter box is where a cat eliminates. But for the cat, litter is also something they stand on, dig through, smell and encounter every day. That makes the choice of litter more interesting than it first appears.
Texture matters. So does dust, smell, clumping, cleanliness and consistency. Cats can have their own preferences, and sometimes the practical solution isn't choosing one "perfect" litter.
Tips : Blending can work; Different litter materials have different characteristics.
1. Blending them can sometimes be a useful way to combine those characteristics — while also helping a cat gradually become comfortable with a different texture.
2. There isn't necessarily one litter that is best for every cat.
The cat's experience matters.
Things We Look At
Not everything we talk about here is something BCC sells. Some products are simply useful to understand.
Carriers
A carrier isn't just something you take out when it's time to go to the vet. For a cat, it can be the beginning of a journey — and sometimes the first source of stress. When we think about carriers, we look at things such as security, ventilation, ease of cleaning, access to the cat and how practical the carrier is to handle.

Bowls & Feeding
The bowl is another small part of everyday life that is easy to overlook. Material, shape, stability and cleanliness can all matter. We don't believe a more complicated feeding setup is automatically better.
The simplest useful solution is often enough.

Why We Share These Things
Meowmart isn't about finding the "best" product for every cat. Cats are individuals. What works well for one cat may not work as well for another. Our experience at BCC gives us a chance to see products in everyday use — not just on a product page.
So when we recommend or talk about something, we try to explain what we have noticed and why it may be useful. Some things we keep at BCC. Some things you may want to find elsewhere. And some things are simply worth knowing about.
A Small Shelf, Growing Slowly
Meowmart is still small. That's intentional. We'll add things as BCC finds products worth sharing — whether they become products we keep at the hotel, things we recommend to cat parents, or simply useful examples of what to look for.
No giant catalogue. No need to sell everything.
Just things that make sense from living with cats.
